The Tactical Perimeter Defense (TPD) class is the starting point with the Security Certified Program (SCP). TPD is a required pre-requisite for he SCNP and SCNA certifications. TPD focuses on the critical defensive technologies that are the foundation of securing network perimeters, such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and router security. This course prepares students to work with, and implement, real world security technology.
This course prepares for the Security Certified Network Specialist (SCNS) certification (Exam # SC0-451).

The course is carried out as a combination of presentation and workshop. The individual modules are initiated by an introductory presentation. They are then extended by a various "live" demonstrations / exercises.
All participating PCs have an Internet connection, SW analyser, port scanner,...
The participants receive comprehensive documentation (original SCP courseware).
The course fees include this documentation, as well as refreshment during intervals and lunch.
The course can also be carried out as an internal company course.
