Subject/Goal:
Management Summary
The participant learns here how to deploy different Back-Track-Tools used in wireless communication. With the aid of various practical examples the participants are shown how hacking functions and the techniques hackers use. The course materials used here have been developed in co-operation by the BackTrack and Dreamlab Technologies developers.
This course is ideally suited as a professional and challenging introduction to the theme, wireless communication and its security mechanisms. The technically oriented training gives participants not only the knowledge but also the practical experience necessary in dealing with current technologies and tools. Students are made aware of the dangers of wireless technology and get to know which measures are necessary in order to avert attacks. The class size is set at a maximum of eight students in order to guarantee an efficient know-how transfer.

The course is carried out in cooperation with the company Dreamlab Technologies AG (www.dreamlab.ch).

Objective
This course includes a great deal of practical exercises. The participants acquire a professional understanding of the techniques and tools currently available for offensive security. This course does not include test methodology or risk management techniques.

Requirements:
Course requirements are: a fundamental knowledge of networks, knowledge of standard services such as, E-Mail, Web and collaborative tools in business, and an interest in technical networking as well as the impact of IT-security.
A further prerequisite is having attended a Linux LPIC 1 course or comparable Linux preparation course. Completion of an OPST course is also advantageous.

The course language is usually german. If it is a common wish of participants, the course can be given in English or French (e.g. for company-internal courses.)

Documentation:
The participants receive a comprehensive documentation.

Agenda:
5 days - Monday to Friday 09.00-12.00, 13.00-17.00

Course form:
The course is carried out as a combination of presentation and workshop. The individual modules are initiated by an introductory presentation. They are then extended by a various "live" demonstrations / exercises.

Course fee:
The course fees include the documentation, as well as refreshment during intervals and lunch.
